Settlement Operation Manager / Senior Manager
About the job
Our client, a well-known Chinese bank, is looking for high caliber candidates to join its Settlement Team.
Responsibilities
• Handle daily settlement operations on Fixed Income Securities, OTC derivatives products (IRS/CCS) and FX/MM
• Perform trade confirmation matching and day-to-day monitoring of Payment and Clearing System
• Execute day-end reconciliation processing
• Act as support functions of corporate action as well as custodian service
• Conduct daily HKTR reporting
• Participate in various projects, including systems development and enhancement, operation and workflow enhancement
• Act on ad-hoc projects and perform system UAT
• Support business operation on HK holidays where applicable
Requirements
• Degree holder, major in Finance, Business or Banking
• 10 years solid working experience in Treasury settlement /FXMM operations, with bond settlement experience is definitely an advantage
• Strong knowledge about the related market infrastructure, industry norms, central clearing & risk mitigation regime, clearing and settlement mechanism on both local and international depository platforms, default penalties, common tax rules, usage of ISDA/CSA/GMRA, collateral management, etc
• Good knowledge and experience in payment/settlement systems (SWIFT, CHATS, CMU, Euroclear/Clearstream etc.)
• Good knowledge in trade repository reporting of HKMA (“TR”) is highly preferred
• Proactive, capable to work effectively under pressure and tight deadline
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
