A Chinese Bank in Hong Kong is inviting Legal Manager to join their Legal & Compliance Department
Responsibilities
-Provide legal advice & support to business units and management for the purpose of protecting Bank's interest and minimizing legal risk of the Bank
-Review & negotiate corporate documentations covering loans, risk/funded participation agreements, guarantees, indemnities & trade finance documents etc
-Draft & negotiate commercial business documentations and service level agreements
-Participate in new product development to identify legal & regulatory matters and formulate/revise policies & guidelines and ensure in comply with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in the Hong Kong SAR
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience in banking industry
- Sound knowledge in banking laws and regulatons including knowledge in the Banking Ordinance, Securities and Futures Ordinance, Companies Ordinance; with familiarity with Hong Kong and PRC commercial practice
- Well verse in drafting & negotiation; with analytical and communication skills
- Strong in working effectively with internal stake-holders across front office, compliance, internal control, operations etc
- Self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure & tight deadline schedule
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese with knowledge of Putonghua
